What dost you people think about human cloning?

well, i think its kinda wrong, to replace someone with a complete copy of themselves, if we do get all the way there, its one of the things that could get outta hand

The difference between using it on humans or animals (morally) is only that we are human. The biggest argument against genetic engineering is that it "isn't natural" and thats about where it enes. On one side of that argument, religious people step in with sayings of words against god and all that shit. Then, there are people who just say it isn't natural without a lot to back it up, just that it's not the way its supposed to be. Whats wrong with these people (in a psychological way) is that their value systems have grown throughout their lives to look at life as a "beautiful" and "magical" thing that cannot be created by a bunch of sweaty old scientists in a test tube. It's in the human nature to formulate a sort of emotion for the things in life that are "beautiful." Beauty itself is human made, we instinctively find a baby being born to be beautiful for obvious reasons, to protect the weak child to carry on our genes, and to teach it about the world in a way in which it will live on its own in a prosperous way. Well, besides the human perspective of genetic engineering, theres logical ones as well.

The human population is huge, the birth vs. death rate is almost laughable, and the only reason the death rate is even remotely high is because of third world countries. The furtile soil is not going to last forever the way we're going, because the world recycles, old food and our waste goes back into the ground and into our next stalk of corn, but our sewage systems and giant packs of garbage surrounded by plastic bags in which take hundreds of years to deteriorate, which means any nutrients in garbage bags won't decompose for hundreds of years. We are running out of furtile soil, and in doing so, we are running out of food. There is already world hunger, and though there are people in the world who eat way too much, even if society were to move enough to level that out, if we found a way to clone, the human race will grow far too much. Pollution is a huge problem and the human race will increase that. Also, if man chooses its childs future at birth, than what would happen to diversity? Not many people would make an underachieving class clown. If you could choose the major personality traits in your children, like, maybe make him more succeptible to be a leader type, and too many parent's want leader types, than you'll have a bunch of people with superiority complexes constantly fighting with each other. And if changing your children does open up, and only rich people can do it, what would happen to equality? Well, by that time, we may not even notice if a man is white or black, or have no different expectations between men and women, but people with engineering versus people without would cause the world to rift a line of difference between each other AGAIN, and the long awaited equality would have only lasted a few decades. Opportunity for children would completely tilt in one direction. And how would children feel who aren't made to be as smart as richer kids? They would feel like peasants, that they are biological inept to take part in things smarter kids can, hopelessness would run wild.

Nature controls our biology, and if we mess with it, we may mess with out entire systems. Something small like changing facial bone structure, or making it so that everyone had a fast metabolism. People say the best love is the kind that happens between personalities and not between looks, but we don't even notice that even with people we do notice, even if they're ugly, we saw them first. Kind of like, when you suddenly get this feeling someone is watching you, and look over to see this girls eyes right on top of you, then she quickly looksd away, the first thought is "does that person like me?" though, it happens so often we kinda just look away and forget, but instinctively, that llittle glance could be the human method of opening oneself to mates. We notice the tinyest little things in each others gestures and facial expressions to tell each other things about ourselves. Girls these days make themselves beautiful, think of that as a peecock fluttering its wings, but it isn't the natural method and it tricks the male into believing in a true love when they are only noticing beauty. If everyone was unnaturally perfect, than we may lose sight in each others personality in a way that is ten times worse than it already is. Not only that, but the more perfect we become, the higher we set our standards, the perfect will only breed with the other perfects (not in all cases of course), and all diversity will fade away from existance. You've heard the term opposites attact, when searching for a mate, we consider the personality of that mate for two reasons, 1) we will spend the rest of our lives with that person and 2) half of their personality will go into their child, and subconsciously, we look for people who, when mixed with their personality, will make a more defined child than themselves, our aspirations for our children influence who we pick as our mate, and just like adding make up to attact males, false personalities will trick our mates into thinking they found a perfect match when their child end up with h faults they did not imagine them having
